Scribbly-doo Doodle

One day, I picked up my pencil and heard a muffled noise. I didn't think it came from my pencil, so I checked all around my desk area. Nope, no noise. Pencil back in hand, I moved towards my notebook. Then I heard the noise again, only this time, it was more distinct AND definitely came from my pencil. The muffled noise said, "Let me out!" Amazed, I started drawing with my pencil on the paper, and this doodle jumped out!

Lemony Doodle

Something made me doodle this one day...isn't that the logo for Lemonheads?

Doodles Have Arrived!

Halloween must have scared these little guys out of their hiding places!

More on their way...

A Message to the DoodleFans

Dear DoodleFans,

As you have noticed, I have been taking a break from the Daily Doodles for a while. More doodles will be on their way, coming sometime this autumn. Think of it as them being on a DoodleHoliday. Hey, everyone needs a break now and then, even Doodles.

See you soon!

Scary Doodle

This doodle looks scary to me. I'm frightened!

Doodle Dood and Doodette

Some fun characters I doodled a while back.
I like to call them Doodle Dood and Doodle Doodette.

DoodleBook Corner Doodle

A doodle in the corner of my DoodleBook.

Snoozin' Pups Doodles

I doodled the pups as they were laying in the kitchen.

<--Here's Rocky resting his head in between his paws.
And here's Daisy, snoozing on her side.-->

The Semi-Mechanical Doodle

This looks kind of mechanical to me. Just a bunch of shapes that continue together.

Alien Plant Doodles

Here are some alien plants that I doodled. I have some alien flowers around here somewhere, but they have seemed to have gone off and hidden. They'll show up on my computer, and then they'll show up on Daily Doodles.

Stare Doodle

This Dude Doodle has a staring problem.

Kitty Drinks Like a Fish Doodle

My little kitty (well, no so little) drinking out of the pet water bowl. He's so quiet when he drinks, but you can hear a tiny little slap slap slap as he laps up the water with his tongue. He's a quick little bugger too--hard to do a doodle of him because you look up and he's gone!

Lovin' Those Star-shaped Doodles!

Another star-like doodle. What can I say? I like star shapes!

I Dunno Doodle

I don't know what this is, besides a doodle.

Good Boy, Rocky, Good Boy!

My dog, Rocky, was being an exceptionally good boy yesterday when he had to spend a period of time in his crate. I was so proud of him, I decided to create a custom doodle for him!

Good boy!

Floral Doodle

A pretty floral doodle.

Conjested Doodle

I was thinking of Chicago and major metropolitan cities and their traffic woes when I created this doodle. It's fairly large so you can see the doodle clearer, since it's kind of busy. Just like these cities.

Crease Doodle <--Am I spelling that right?

Just felt like doodling within the crease of my DoodleBook. This is the result. I created this one pretty fast--in about 29 seconds.

The Progress Bar Doodle

A doodle similar to digital progress bars you see on websites and computers, with a twist of Lisa of course.

Arrow-y Thing Doodle

Not sure what this is, but it has common features with other doodles of mine. Lines, circles, and arrowheads.

And I just realized it's upside down.

EraserArt

Did you ever create drawings as a kid with your eraser? Well, if so and you know what I am referring to, this doodle was inspired by that. I doodled a shape--the weird octagon-shaped thing (Hey, I've forgotten my geometric shape names. It's been a while since High School Geometry--give me a break!), and then flipped my pencil around and "drew" things with the eraser!

The DoodleDog

Yikes! Watch out for this little guy. Shhh...don't tell him I called him "little." I don't want to come home to find this DoodleDog's chewed my pen to pieces!

Razor Fish Doodle

Kind of patriotic, huh? Well, the colors at least. I'm not sure where fish stands in American symbolism. Oh, and this is perfect for my recent phishing trip on my MySpace profile.

A Week's Worth of Doodles, and Then Some

I have quite a few doodles in this posting. Yes, I am guilty of having a backlog of them this week. And yes, they became quite difficult to handle--a word to the wise: do not tick off doodles!

Some silly cartoon dude.

An ode to my work computer.

I see you.

A doodle that reminds me of a feather.

My kickass cat stretching (although he's not black).

One of those something doodles.

Sewing needle swarmed by eyes.

I call this one The Hamburger Doodle, because, well, there's a hamburger in it.

The Sea Creature or the Rider-Tossing Hopping Elephant Creature Doodle

I bought an awesome new pen for work. Just had to make some doodles with it! Thought I'd make a random doodle on my lunch hour today. Reminds me of a sea creature, or an elephant-like creature that hops on two legs and tosses it's rider up in the air.

The Scientific Luminary Doodle

Whew! What a fancy name.

I was in a parking garage recently and there was this funky light hanging from the cement ceiling on the floor I was parked on. It was such a different light, or perhaps I don't pay attention to light fixture designs enough, that I had to doodle it! I think it turned out very scientific. If I didn't name it descriptively, what would you have thought it was? Hmm?

Writing Utensil Storage Doodle

I have this pretty, um...I don't know what it originally was, container in which I keep pencils and pens and other writing utensils. It has little 'panes' of colored glass that go around it. I doodled a portrait of it one day.

Squawk! Doodle

I started doodling some shapes, like I usually do. When I stopped to look at what I had done, the doodle looked like some crazy bird thing flying at me about to peck out my eyes---watch out!

Q: What do you think it looks like?

Scratch Paper Doodle

I was doodling on a piece of scratch paper. Nothing more to the story than that really.

A Tribute to My Current Favorite Pizza Place Doodle

Just doodlin' around after snacking on some pizza.

(This is not their logo—it's just one of favorite doodle fonts!)

Crazy Strawberry Doodle

Hmmmm.......Anticipation, perhaps?

Here's a little doodle I did while staring at my Panera lemonade cup. Yum!

Finished Doodle

While flipping through my DoodleBook, I came across my Unfinished Doodle from May 27, 2007, and shrugged, "What the hey." And I went ahead and finished it.

It-Speaks-for-Itself Doodle

Tonight, I doodled on an ad for a particular insurance company. The doodle speaks for itself about the feelings I have toward that company and the schtuff they have put me through on the two claims I have with them.........eh-hem, neither one of which were my fault: muchas gracias stupid hailstorm and drunk driving neighbor!

Squarish Doodle [A Phone Doodle]

I tend to doodle a lot while on the phone. And I usually don't pay attention to what I'm doodling, so the result is just as a surprise to me as it might be to you when you first set your eyes on my new doodles. It's like unwrapping a present...without the wrapping paper 'n stuff.

Here's a doodle that originated from a square. I was chatting on the phone with my dad when I created it.

Birdhouse Doodle

I spent a little time relaxing in Lake Geneva this early afternoon, by the Riviera Beach and the Library Park. While sitting on a park bench, I spotted this cute birdhouse with birds happily chirping in and out of the "bird condo."

Crummy Doodle

Here's a crummy doodle. I figured since I missed posting yesterday, I'd at least post a second doodle for today. But I really don't like this particular doodle--it's not a good representation of the doodling I typically do around letters and words. Very plain, and not my usual elaborateness for a word doodle. Oh, well. I'll get over it.

Object Doodles...Plus Some Old Guy Listening to Music

Here are a few doodles I did on my trip to/from Chicago today. There's a funky metal chair doodle, a Jamba Juice cup doodle, a doodle around the title of the book I'm reading, my shoe doodle (sans the foot, even though my foot was in it when I doodled it!), and a "some old guy on the train listening to music with HUGE headphones" doodle.

A Trio of Doodles

This was a flower-grid-made-up-letters doodle. Just a few doodles within the same small area. The one on the upper left is a grid doodle--basically a doodle that was lines going one way, then lines going the other way. And then the easiest doodle of them all, a flower. I colored this one red, and it looks like a poppy. Quite appropriate for Memorial Day. Want to know why poppies are associated with Memorial Day? Click here. Lastly, the bottom are just scribblings of letters, not spelling anything and not meaning anything. They were originally going to be some angular line shapes to go between the little star-shaped things, but they really turned out like letter forms.

Unfinished Doodle

This doodle is somewhat unfinished. But it is what it is. A doodle's lifespan isn't that long anyway.

Streetlamp Doodle

Here's a little doodle I did while waiting to catch the Metra train to downtown Chicago last Tuesday. It's of a cutesy streetlamp that was in front of the station.

Digital Doodling

Sorry for the hiatis. I guess my doodles weren't so daily for a while there. Well, I'm back. To all my [few] fans, I will do my best to post new, fun doodles--as long as you keep your comments coming!

Here are some personal initial logos (LAH) I was doodling around with on the computer. Which one do you like best?
